Support - Education - Practical skill-building
Coaching isn't what you might think! I'm not like your team sports coach, directing (or shouting) from the sidelines. Instead, I offer collaborative, goal-focused partnership to help you awaken to your values, clarify your purpose, unlock your potential, overcome challenges, and achieve your goals. Research shows that the breaking of old patterns and positive, transformational change happens best in the context of a trusting and safe human relationship. I won't tell you what to do. Only you can decide what kind of life is right for you and I'll do my best to help you create it using the evidence-based methods endorsed by the International Coaching Federation and the Co-Active Training Institute™.
Having a trained coach, and access to the best information and tools makes any process faster, more productive and more rewarding than it will be if you go it alone. Think of it like a woodworking class—I'll support you as you imagine what kind of chair you want to build and then show you what tools to use and how to use them to make it happen.
What kind of commitment is required?

People get only as much out of coaching as they put into it. Coaching is designed to elicit personal transformation. Coaches bring expertise in their craft, no judgment, and an unconditional positive regard for and belief in their client. In the safety of that relationship, clients have a unique opportunity to examine their choices and values, and to consider what could be possible for them as well as what they truly want. Those who benefit the most approach coaching with courage, openness, and a willingness to try something different.

Transformation doesn't happen overnight. You should expect to meet for at least 10 sessions over 4-6 months. We may meet weekly at first to establish a rapport, and then every other week going forward.

How do we start?

Contact me to book a free, no-commitment-required 30-minute sample session. We’ll use the time to...
-
Get to know each other
-
Talk about your goals and challenges
-
Do some actual coaching to give you a feel for the experience
-
Answer any questions you may have
If we decide we are right for each other, we'll use our first session or two to dig deep on what makes you tick—what your values are, your non-negotiable needs, and your vision for your life. Later sessions will be constructed around more specific, practical goals, but always with the bigger picture of your growth in mind.

Is this confidential?

Absolutely. Completely. I will never share anything that is said or done in our sessions with anyone, period, unless you direct me to. I will also never share that you are a client, unless you tell me to.

You however are free to share anything about our sessions or not, as you see fit.

How do we meet?

I see clients both online via video conferencing and in person in a dedicated office at my NE Portland, OR home.

What does it cost?

I charge $175 per 1-hour session, which supports a sliding scale for those in need, prioritizing LQBTQ+ and BIPOC clients—because everyone deserves the opportunity to have the care and support of a coach, regardless of their means.
